PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable power tool that is easily pushed/drawn along the rotary shaft of a tool. SOLUTION: This portable power tool is provided with a driving source for rotating the tool, and a housing for storing the driving source. The housing is provided with a housing body section extended along the rotary shaft of the tool, and a grip section extended downward from the housing body section. In the side surface of the housing body section, a pair of grooves extended along the rotary shaft of the tool from the end on the opposite side of the tool are formed so that they are substantially opposed to each other in a position above the rotary shaft.
