PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic flowmeter capable of measuring a flow rate discharged intermittently from a metering pump more accurately than the conventional. SOLUTION: In the electromagnetic flowmeter 10, a direct current magnetic flux is applied when fluid is moving by the discharge action of the metering pump 40, and thus the detection signal for the flow rate of fluid, which is detected by one pair of detection electrodes 23, 23 during the discharge action, is never superposed by the magnetic flux differential noise. Due to this effect, sampling can be performed without missing the detection signal during the period when the fluid is flowing through a measuring tube 21. Also, even if an electrochemical noise Ve is superposed on the detection signal Vf for the flow rate of fluid, the detection signal Vf for the flow rate of fluid can be taken out separately from the electrochemical noise Ve by a frequency filter 35 that is a high-pass filter.
