<p>prepn. New cpd. of formula: and its salts have use as drugs in medicine. The cpd. is prepd. by a series of reactions starting from 2,2,6, 6-tetramethyl-4-piperidone which is reacted with an alkyl ester of cyanoacetic acid in pres. of catalyst, hydrogenating in pres. of catalyst to form 2,2,6,6 tetramethyl-4-(carbalkoxy cyano-methyl)-piperidine, saponified, decarboxylated, esterified, reduced and reacted with a haloid reagent to form 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl -4-(beta-haloethyl)-piperidine hydrohalide, treated with alkali and cyclised at 130 - 140 degrees C in inert solvent to 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-quinuclidine hydrohalide.</p> |
