A distributing method for carrier power in the same power amplifier and a power amplifier can set a maximal transmission power for each carrier, the sum of the maximal transmission power for each carrier is more than the rated total power, when the sum of the instant transmission power for each carrier is less than or equal to the rated total power, the instant transmission power of each carrier is distributed to the carrier in the power amplifier (520), otherwise the rated total power is distributed to each carrier in the power amplifier according to the predetermined rule, thereby the utilization ratio of the power in the power amplifier is increased.
