<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a stable operation by correcting the clock setup of a slave device from a master device. <P>SOLUTION: The radio meter reading system comprises the master device 1, the slave device 2, and a meter 3 connected to the slave device 2, and the master device 1 and slave device 2 communicate by radio with each other to collect information on a measured value etc., of the meter 3. The slave device 2 has a timer means of generating current time information and performs intermittent reception operation in a first operation mode in a preset time period and operates in a second operation mode different from the first operation mode in other time periods according to the time information that the timer means generates, thereby saving electric power. Then the master device 1 has a reference time acquisition means of acquiring time information as reference time from outside and a timer means of generating the current time information, and corrects the timer means of the master device with the time information acquired by the reference time acquisition means to transmit the corrected time information to the salve device 2 when communicating with the slave device 2.
