<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recombinant adenovirus of which genome is deleted with its non-essential part or a part of it, also containing an exogenous DNA, and preferably a recombinant canine adenovirus type 2 (CAV2). <P>SOLUTION: This recombinant CAV2 is provided by containing a deleted part in the E3 region of the CAV2 gene and inserted with the exogenous DNA in (i) the E3 region of the CAV2 gene, (ii) a region between the E4 region and right ITR region of the CAV2 gene or (iii) both of the (i) and (ii) regions.
