PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mercury emitter capable of solving the problem of fluidity of particles at manufacturing processes and of more easily manufacturing the emitter. SOLUTION: The mercury emitter contains a first metal capable of forming an alloy with mercury, and particles with metal plating applied on inorganic particles. The mercury emitter 100 is provided with a mercury emission part 10 constituted of a mercury alloy containing mercury and a first metal capable of forming an alloy with mercury, and a coating layer 20 coating the mercury emission part 10, and the coating layer 20 is structured of particles 30 with metal plating 34 applied to inorganic particles 32.
