PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability for a user in a viewing and listening system where a display device and a reproducing device or the like are connected together. SOLUTION: A TV receiver 30 as the display device is provided with a plotting generation part 36 for generating the display side plotting data of plotting images according to a display form to be displayed on screen. The reproducing device 10 is provided with a plotting generation part 16 for generating the reproduction side plotting data of the plotting images according to the display form to be displayed on the TV receiver 30, and the plotting generation part 16 receives the display form information of the plotting generation part 36 through a connection cable 50 and generates the reproduction side plotting data of the display form based on the received display form information of the display side. The reproducing device 10 supplies content data including the generated reproduction side plotting data through the connection cable 50 to the TV receiver 30, and the TV receiver 30 presents the plotting images based on the supplied reproduction side plotting data.
