PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC motor armature which reduces voltage between segments to extend its service life, and to provide a DC motor and an armature winding method. SOLUTION: In the DC motor armature 3 having 10 poles, 8 slots and 40 segments, a commutator is provided with a connecting line 25 for short-circuiting the segments 14, having the same potential, and when each tooth 9 is allocated in order to A-phase, B-phase, C-phase, D-phase, E-phase, F-phase, G-phase and H-phase, armature coils 7 of A-phase, F-phase, C-phase, H-phase, E-phase, B-phase, G-phase and D-phase are electrically connected in this order between the adjacent segments 14.
