PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk device which can facilitate fixing of a ramp to a predetermined position, thereby allowing the assemblability thereof to be enhanced and the manufacturing cost thereof to be reduced. SOLUTION: The magnetic disk device is provided with a case having a base 10 and a top cover 11. On the base in the case, a motor, a disk-like recording medium rotatably supported on the motor, a head, a head actuator supporting the head movably relative to the recording medium, and a ramp loading mechanism are provided. The ramp loading mechanism is provided with a ramp 50 disposed on the outer peripheral side of the recording medium, and an engaging part stepping over the ramp when the head extends from the head actuator to move to the outer peripheral part of the recording medium. The ramp is provided with a recess 62 and an elastically deformable bridge part 64 which is disposed over the recess, the bridge part is fixed between the base and the top cover while the bridge part is elastically pressed by the pressing part 7 of the top cover.
