PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device capable of improving precision in braking force before correction of the reference value of a master cylinder pressure detection unit is completed. SOLUTION: In the brake control device for controlling the braking force to be given to wheels provided on a vehicle, an ECU 200 controls the braking force based on information of the detected master cylinder pressure and the reference value of a master cylinder pressure sensor 48. An computation unit 58 executes the reference value calculation mode for calculating the reference value based on the master cylinder pressure detected in the non-braking state, and the temporary calculation mode for calculating the temporary value in place of the reference value based on the atmospheric pressure at the timing when the reference value cannot be calculated by the reference value calculation mode.
