PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf swing measuring instrument which not only enables the measurement of swing time, head speed and total yardage at a training ground but also can usefully improve the skill by analyzing the golf swing with a personal computer using measurement data at home or at other places. SOLUTION: The golf swing measuring instrument includes the first and second sensor coils 26 and 28 which are arrayed along a side-wall part 22 extending almost parallel with a swing track 20 and detects the passage of a club head 18 with a permanent magnet 24 mounted at its tip when it passes near the sensor coils, an arithmetic part which calculates the swing time, the head speed and the total yardage from the signals detected with the first and second sensor coils, a display part for displaying the items, a memory part which preserves the measurement data covering a plurality of hits on the swing time, the head speed and the total yardage and a transmission part which transmits the measurement data preserved at the memory part to the personal computer.
