A component assembly 10 formed by moulding and integrally combining fluid inlet and outlet connection nozzles 12, 13 and a chamber 19 adapted to house a valve (not shown) for regulating fluid flow through the component is attached via a flange 14 to a heat exchanger (not shown) of the kind having adjacent inlet and outlet fluid passages. The nozzle 12 communicates with the valve housing chamber 19 via an orifice 17 defined by a circular internal rib 15 which projects into the valve chamber 19 and forms a valve seat. Ducts 21, 24 extending perpendicularly to the nozzle axes open out into the respective adjacent inlet and outlet passages which are separated from each other in the heat exchanger by a partition. |
