<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal correction method by which an R (red) signal, a G (green) signal and a B (blue) signal which are the three primary color signals can be corrected, by varying the correction amount according to with values of the respective signals, when the values of the respective signals meet desired conditions. <P>SOLUTION: A method of operating an image signal correcting means is such that when an input signal represents "deep red", an image signal is corrected into "bright red" as a mixture of red and a small amount of white (R=255, G=51 and B=51) or "vermilion" which is closer to a shorter wavelength (orange color) (R=255, G=51 and B=0) by a detecting means that detects "deep red", where a correction signal generating here means one which generates a correction signal, based on the detection result and a correction means that corrects the input signal by the correction signal and outputs the resultant signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
