DISPLAY PANEL DRIVING DEVICE AND DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for obtaining a horizontal zoom function in an output video with respect to a display panel driving device and a display device with the display panel driving device.

SOLUTION: The display panel driving device is equipped with: a horizontal synchronizing circuit generating a pulse signal synchronized with a horizontal synchronizing signal; a phase comparing circuit comparing phases of the pulse signal with a phase comparing signal; a frequency control circuit generating a frequency control signal so as to control the frequency of a clock signal based on the result of comparing phases; a modulation signal generating circuit generating a frequency modulating signal to modulate the frequency of the clock signal synchronized with the horizontal synchronizing signal; a modulation signal adding circuit adding the frequency modulating signal to the frequency control signal; an oscillator oscillating the clock signal according to the frequency control signal with addition of the frequency modulating signal; and a frequency dividing circuit dividing the clock signal to generate the phase comparing signal.
