PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a replacement of a fraudulent game ball, in a charging ball type game machine having a cycling pathway for playing a game by shooting a prescribed number of game balls charged in a game machine body into a playfield from a shooting position, for recovering and guiding the game balls finishing the game to the shooting position so as to use the game balls in cycle. SOLUTION: A magnetic ball detector 250 for detecting only a game ball composed of a magnetic material without detecting a game gall composed of a nonmagnetic material when charging the game ball composed of the nonmagnetic material is provided in a required section of a cycling pathway 210. The magnetic ball detector 250 is provided with a magnet 251 on one side across the cycling pathway 210, and a magnetic detection sensor 252 for detecting the magnetism of the magnetic game ball magnetized by the magnet 251 is provided on the other side.
