PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retaining ring for an American hook and an American hook with the ornament part using the same which can easily install an ornament part on the right side of a ring part just by work of pushing it with a pressing force with fingers while adjusting the direction of the decoration (pattern) that is devised so that the ornament part (decoration part) is easily provided on the right side. SOLUTION: The retaining ring for an American hook includes the ornament part provided with an installation shaft and an American hook body part provided with an insertion hole and a catch part of the installation shaft. The decoration part is fitted to the American hook body part by inserting the installation shaft into the insertion hole. Also, The American hook body part are installed to installation objects, such as clothes, by a ring part provided with many engaging legs at regular intervals on an inner peripheral edge.
