The invention relates to an automated system such as an aircraft flight management system (FMS). The purpose of the invention is to harmonise the answer times of the FMS system between different scenarios of a same family along with the evolutions of the product and its context of use. The system of the invention includes several sub-systems having a variable external order processing time, the answer time to a same request being independent from the volume of internal and external data handled and from future functional evolutions, and is characterised in that it comprises, in each of its sub-systems with variable processing time and/or susceptible of evolution (FPLN, NavDB, TRAJ/PRED,...), a resource explicit consumer sub-system (SPARE) simulating a processing time having a duration at least equal to the difference between the maximum predictable processing duration at the life end of the sub-system including the same and the current processing duration, and a timing sub-system (TIMER) triggered by a processing order and having a timing duration at least equal to the current processing duration of said order plus the duration determined by the resource explicit consumer sub-system.
|
