A stream processing apparatus and a storage apparatus for transmitting data between storage units are provided to transmit data between a host unit and a storage unit memorizing data including streaming data and non-streaming data. A first interface unit inputs and outputs stream data about a host unit. A second interface unit inputs and outputs non-stream data about the host unit. A third interfacing unit inputs and outputs stream data and non-stream data about the storage unit. A meta information extraction unit(4) extracts the meta information from a header of stream data inputted from a first interface unit. A memory unit(6) buffers stream data and a non-stream data.
