<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming device which finds an amount of a toner remaining in a toner container without using a toner remainder-detecting sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The image-forming device includes; a toner-accommodating chamber 82; a dispensing auger 104 which conveys a toner from the toner-accommodating chamber 82 to a development unit 74; an operation target quantity-setting means which sets an operation target quantity of the dispensing auger 104 on the basis of the number of pixels of inputted image data; a pulse generator 105 which detects an actual operation quantity which is an actual operation quantity of the dispensing auger 104; an actual operation quantity-correcting means which compares the operation target quantity computed by the operation target quantity-setting means with an actual operation quantity detected by an actual operation quantity-detecting means, and if difference exists, corrects the actual operation quantity so that a difference between the actual operation quantity and the operation target quantity may approach zero; and a toner remainder-detecting means which finds a quantity of a toner remaining in the toner-accommodating room 82 on the basis of the corrected operation quantity corrected by the actual operation quantity-correcting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
