POWER SUPPLY EQUIPMENT, AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide power supply equipment which can stably supply power without the need for installing equipment for suppressing an output variation even in if wind power generation is employed, and to provide a control method thereof.

SOLUTION: In order to generate power for satisfying the demand power of a power customer 30 by using a combined cycle generator set 50, there are implemented procedures for: setting a target power generation amount of a gas turbine set 51 and a target power generation amount of a steam turbine set 52; subtracting the target power generation amount of the steam turbine set 52 by an amount equivalent to a power generation amount of a wind turbine generator 10 when the wind turbine generator generates power; feeding a necessary amount of steam for generating the power of the subtracted target power generation amount of the steam turbine set 52 by the steam turbine set 52 to the steam turbine set 52 from an exhaust heat recovery boiler 63; and feeding remaining steam generated at the exhaust heat recovery boiler 63 to a desalination device 60 which desalinates sea water by utilizing steam heat.
