PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly control an exposure period while performing successful imaging without noise when imaging is performed in timing instructed from the outside. SOLUTION: When an imaging element which performs the imaging in a frame period being synchronized with a horizontal synchronization signal and a vertical synchronization signal, imaging starting timing in one frame by the imaging element is decided from a trigger signal. In a horizontal blanking period immediately after the decided imaging starting timing, a sweeping away signal SUB for performing an instruction for discarding signals accumulated in the imaging element is generated. Then, time difference between the decided imaging starting timing and generation timing of the sweeping way signal generated after that is decided.
