PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive illuminating board which facilitates the reading of information such as a drawing on a top face, is thin in thickness and light in weight as a whole device, and can be housed in a compact size when being carried. SOLUTION: The illuminating board includes: housings 3, 4, and 5, each of which is in the form of a board having on its top face 2 a flat face on which information, such as a drawing, is placed; a plurality of white LED light sources 9 arranged at predetermined intervals on the bottom face of each of the housings; a diffusing plate 22 disposed between the top face 2 and the white LED light sources 9 and used to refract white light, emitted from the white LED light sources, at a wide angle in the direction of the top face 2; and a control means for giving an instruction to a specific light source among the white LED light sources 9 and controlling a light emitting timing and a light emitting period of time.
