A process upgrading method and a process upgrading system. The method includes: a source process that exchanges data with an opposite end connected with a socket interface through the socket interface, copies the process data of itself to a target process when there is need to upgrade the process, and detects whether the data received from the opposite end through the socket interface is integrated or not, if it is integrated, then stops exchanging data with the socket interface, and copies the received data to the target process, when the copy is finished, the source process sends the upgrading switching instruction information to the target process, causes the target process sending the upgrading switching instruction information to the socket interface, and further causes the socket interface switching the socket interface service to the target process.
