The invention relates to a railway superstructure for fastening rails to ferro-concrete, polymer-impregnated or composite rail base, such as cross-sleepers, cross bars, plates, blocks, sills etc and can be used for trunk lines, including high-speed lines, in tunnels, metropolitan railways and on railway sidings of production plants. In the inventive rail fastening, a rail pad comprises lateral surfaces which are symmetrically oriented along a rail and each of which consists of a lower lateral inclined surface, corresponding to the inclined surface of the recess of the rail part of the base, and of an upper lateral inclined surface which has a reverse slant and located above the level of the recess of the rail base. The width of the upper rail surface matches the width of the rail foot. The width of the lower above cross-sleeper surface matches the width of the lower surface of the recess of the rail part of the base. Said invention ensures the reliable operation of the rail fastening, in particular of the rail pad, due to the total support of the rail foot, the reduced motion of the rail because of an inadequate support thereof and to prevent the failure of an insulating pad in case of the deterioration and displacement of the elements of the fastening and the rail.
