<p>In one arrangement the data is transmitted from the first transceiving st ation to the second transceiving station according to a frame structure comp rising a payload portion for transmitting payload data and a synchronisation portion for transmitting synchronisation data. The frame structure is selec ted from candidate frame structures, the candidate frame structures having d iffering durations of the synchronisation portion, according to a data loadi ng factor, the data loading factor depending on the amount of data that is r equired to be transmitted. Thus in embodiments of the invention the payload capacity may be optimised by reducing the duration of the synchronisation po rtion when a large amount of data is required to be transmitted.</p> |
