摘要 A perpendicular magnetic recording medium, a manufacturing method thereof and a magnetic recording device are provided to secure high S/Nt and narrow write core width by suppressing both particle diameter dispersion and crystal orientation dispersion. A perpendicular magnetic recording medium comprises a softmagnetic grafting layer(12) formed on a substrate(11), an under layer(14) made of Ru or Ru alloy on the softmagnetic grafting layer, a plurality of magnetic particles formed on the under layer and having a magnetization easy axis perpendicular to the substrate surface, a recording layer(16) made of single- or multi-layer structure including at least one layer consisting of non-magnetic material surrounding the magnetic particles, a crystal structure film and a poly-crystal film(25) interposed between the softmagnetic grafting layer and under layer and made of Ru or Ru alloy, and a laminate(30A) including at least other poly-crystal film.
