PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vein pattern management system, a vein pattern registering device, a vein pattern authentication device, a vein pattern registering method, a vein pattern authentication method, a program and a vein data structure, enabling determination of the presence or absence of a false vein pattern artificially formed on the body surface.

SOLUTION: The vein pattern management system is provided with an imaging section for imaging the body surface by near-infrared light while changing magnification to generate a plurality of near-infrared light imaged data with different magnification; a vein pattern extracting section for extracting a plurality of vein patterns corresponding to the respective near-infrared light imaged data, from the plurality of near-infrared light imaged data; a fractal dimension computing section for computing a fractal dimension corresponding to each vein pattern, for the plurality of extracted vein patterns; and a false vein pattern determining section for determining the presence of the false vein pattern artificially formed at a part of the imaged body surface based on the computed fractal dimension.
