<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus capable of displaying image, while effectively utilizing a monitor screen. <P>SOLUTION: An image display apparatus 13 comprises a monitor screen 41 including a picture of a predetermined aspect ratio and displays an image thereon. A display control means 31 is then provided, in which aspect ratios of image signals transmitted from a plurality of monitor cameras 11 and longitudinal and lateral directions of image signals are then detected, areas of respective images are adjusted so as to reduce the blank of an empty area most, and a screen is generated on the monitor screen 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
