PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of easily acquiring an image of a preferable composition in consideration of the moving direction of an object. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes an imaging part, a memory, an object recognition part, a moving direction judgement part, and a composition adjustment part. The imaging part images the object and generates the data of the image. The memory stores the feature information of a main object to be a recognition object. The object recognition part recognizes the main object included in the image on the basis of the feature information. The moving direction judgement part judges the moving direction of the main object. The composition adjustment part executes the first processing of determining the trimming range of the image on the basis of the position of the main object within the image and the moving direction of the main object.
