PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a temperature measuring element utilizing a thin film type temperature sensor, improving the mechanical shock characteristic of the thin film type temperature sensor, and having excellent heat resistance characteristic. SOLUTION: The temperature measuring element includes: a cylindrical external protective pipe having a first space part and a second space part connected to each other through a through hole inside in the longitudinal direction from the upper and lower surfaces; a thin film type temperature sensor internally provided in the external protective pipe through the first and second space parts and the through hole; and a filler, which fills the interiors of first and second space parts of the external protective pipe, and integrally fixes the thin film type temperature sensor in the first and second protective pipes.
