An apparatus for measuring reception quality based on equalization signal after performing equalization and a method therefor are provided to convert pilot signal included in single carrier signal into signal of frequency domain and measure the reception quality of the single carrier signal based on equalized signal after performing the equalization. A first sub carrier wave averaging unit(12) outputs the average of channel gain after equalizing the channel gain based on a pilot signal. A first electricity calculation unit(13) estimates the electricity of the signal outputted from the first sub carrier wave averaging unit and outputs the value to the signal power. A reproduction pilot signal generator(14) produces and outputs the reproduction pilot signal about a zero timing signal factor after equalization.
