摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage device in which a power storing section can be rapidly charged. <P>SOLUTION: The power storage device 11 connected between a main power supply 15 and a load 17 is provided with a charging circuit 19 and a main power supply voltage detecting circuit 21 which are connected to the main power supply 15, a power storage section 29 consisting of a plurality of power storage elements 31 and connected to an output of the charging circuit 19, a changeover switch 33 connected to the power storage section 29, and a control section 41 to which the charging circuit 19, the main power supply voltage detecting circuit 21 and the changeover switch 33 are connected. In the power storage device, the number (N) of serially connected power supply elements 31 is a number at which a voltage lower than a rated voltage thereof is applied to each of the power storage elements 31 when the power storage elements 31 are all normal and the power storage section 29 is fully charged. A control section 41 turns off the changeover switch 33 at the end of usage to hold the power stored in the power storage section 29, and charges the power storage section 29 via the charging circuit 19 up to a fully charged voltage at the time of start-up. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
