摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus with a reducing load applied on an electron emission source array, and capable of preventing deterioration of resolution, and generation of afterimage of capacity or photoconductivity residual at the time of incidence of high-intensity light to a photoelectric conversion film. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes an electron emission source array 250 with an electron emission source arranged in a matrix shape, a photoelectric conversion film 230 faced and retained by the electron emission source array 250, sequentially selects a horizontal scanning line 257 for every video signal output period, then emits electrons to the photoelectric conversion film 230 from the electron emission source contained in the selected horizontal scanning line 257 to read out a video signal. And also, in accordance with signal levels of a video signal outputted during the video signal output period, the apparatus controls electron emission drive during a retrace line erasure period of the electron emission source array.
