PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid machine comprising a compressor and an expander connected to each other via an oil equalizing pipe, wherein lubricating oil is stably supplied to a compression mechanism or an expansion mechanism even during transient operation. SOLUTION: The fluid machine comprises the compressor 101 and the expander 103. The compressor 101 has a sealed container 108, a first oil reservoir 121 formed in the bottom of the sealed container 108, the compression mechanism 113, and an oil supply mechanism 110 for supplying lubricating oil to the compression mechanism 113. The expander 103 has a sealed container 109, a second oil reservoir 123 formed in the bottom of the sealed container 109, the expansion mechanism 118, and an oil supply mechanism 123 for supplying lubricating oil to the expansion mechanism 118. The sealed container 108 and the sealed container 109 are connected to each other via a pressure equalizing pipe 106 and the oil equalizing pipe 107.
