PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrophotographic toner capable of forming an image free of image defects such as a dash mark and a flaw and having a bright color free of muddiness. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner includes toner particles and an external additive externally added to the toner particles, wherein nonspherical and nonacicular titanium oxide having a BET specific surface area of 20-120 m<SP>2</SP>/g is included as the external additive.
