PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold assembly for forming an infrared-sensor cap, which can use a mold many times, can produce an excellent sensor cap even after having used the mold many times, thereby enhances an operation efficiency, and greatly improves both of a production cost and a production period of time compared to a conventional art. SOLUTION: The mold assembly 1 for forming the infrared-sensor cap having an approximately cylindrical shape comprises an upper mold part 2 and a lower mold part 3, which can be integrated into an approximately cylindrical form with a fixing screw 9. After the fixing screw 9 has been released, the upper mold part can be separated from the lower mold part by a separating screw 11 which is inserted from the bottom surface of the lower mold part toward the upper mold part and presses the upper mold part in the upper direction.
