PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing substantially amorphous telmisartan. SOLUTION: The method for producing substantially amorphus telmisartan comprises the following steps: the step (a) wherein an aqueous solution including telmisartan and at least a kind of basic substance is prepared; and the step (b) wherein the aqueous solution prepared in the step (a) is sprayed to obtain a spray-dried granulated powder.
