PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyor for a base plate material in which first, rocking and meandering of the base plate material are prevented, conveying trouble is avoided and stable horizontal conveying is attained, second, slipping of the base plate material is also prevented and stable horizontal conveying is attained from that respect, and third, the above are also attained without giving damage such as abrasion, scar and damage to the base plate material. SOLUTION: The conveyor 3 is used in a surface treatment device 1 of the base plate material A. The surface treatment device 1 has a chemical tank 5 of a treatment liquid B; a conveyor 3 for in-liquid-conveying the base plate material A in the chemical tank 5; and a spray nozzle for in-liquid-spraying the treatment liquid B to the base plate material A. In the conveyor 3, end surface conveying rollers 8, 9 for vertically clamping both left and right side end surfaces E and feeding them in a non-contact manner are provided on a circuit formation surface D of the base plate material A in parallel. As the end surface conveying rollers 8, 9, a linear advancement roller R1 and an oblique roller R2 are adopted and slip-stop processing is applied to its outer peripheral surface.
