PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece conveying method and a workpiece conveying device excellent in conveying property and also excellent in energy efficiency. SOLUTION: In the workpiece conveying method, the conveyance workpiece W1 can be repeatedly conveyed by a workpiece lift 1 laminated with a plurality of sheets of the workpieces W and a conveying means 10 having a suction retaining part 11 capable of sucking/retaining the conveyance workpiece W1 positioned uppermost of the workpieces W. When the conveying means 10 is descended to a predetermined position, a lower limit U and an upper limit T capable of sucking/retaining the conveyance workpiece W1 are set. When the conveyance workpiece W1 is positioned at the lower limit U, the workpiece lift 1 raises the workpiece W and the conveyance workpiece W1 is positioned at the upper limit T.
