PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which divides a 3D area into a plurality of areas and scans the divided area with ultrasonic wave, and generates an ultrasonic image with uniform image quality. SOLUTION: A transmission/reception part 3 scans the different 3D areas with ultrasonic wave in accordance with a trigger signal based on an electrocardiographic waveform, and scans the same 3D area till receiving the succeeding trigger signal. A first gain adjustment part 31 performs gain adjustment on the reception signal of each 3D area, which is acquired after indication of image quality adjustment, in accordance with a first gain correction value. A second gain adjustment part 63 performs gain adjustment on data of each 3D area, which is acquired before indication of image quality adjustment, in accordance with a second gain correction value based on the first gain correction value. A data coupling part 61 couples data being the data of the different 3D area and being acquired in the same time phase.
