<p>A flowmeter of simple arrangement which can measure the flow direction and the flow rate of fluid supplied through piping accurately. The flowmeter comprises a flow rate sensor (1) for thermally measuring the instantaneous flow rate of the fluid depending on the flow direction thereof, a flow rate integration buffer (4) for integrating the instantaneous flow rate measured by the flow rate sensor and clocking the integrated time, a means (3) for judging existence of pulsation of the fluid from the flow rate and the integrated time integrated by the flow rate integration buffer, and resetting the flow rate integration buffer when pulsation is detected, and a normal flow integration counter (6) and a reverse flow integration counter (7) for integrating the flow rate which is integrated by the flow rate integration buffer individually depending on the flow direction of the fluid when the judging means has detected the fact that the fluid is not pulsating.</p>
