<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the amount of water accumulating in a unit cell of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: A gas passage forming member 12 made of lath cut metal is arranged in a gas passage in the unit cell. The gas passage forming member 12 has an upper side and a lower side each having different length of a beam part partitioning an opening and is composed of an upper side trapezoidal portion where an opening is narrowed upward and a lower side trapezoidal portion where an opening is narrowed downward having different dimensions.
