摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a RuTe<SB>2</SB>based catalyst for a fuel cell which demonstrates a superior catalyst action capable of substituting a noble metal catalyst such as platinum with low cost and has a high oxygen reduction reaction starting potential. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for the fuel cell contains RuTe<SB>2</SB>as an active component and further contains N element and Fe element. Since N element or further Fe element are added to the RuTe<SB>2</SB>which is a catalyst for fuel cell demonstrating a superior catalyst action capable of substituting a noble metal catalyst such as platinum with low cost, the catalyst for the fuel cell with increased oxygen reduction reaction starting potential and having a higher potential and much current can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
