<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength stabilizing unit capable of stabilizing the wavelength of an optical signal by a simple configuration without using an expensive optical component. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitter 510 comprises a sine wave signal source 111 which outputs sine wave signals, a current source 112 which outputs a current of the sine wave signal outputted from the sine wave signal source 111 and superposed with a predetermined bias value, a semiconductor laser 113 in which the current outputted from the current source 112 is inputted to output the continuous light of the wavelength corresponding to the input current to a wavelength multiplexer 160, an error signal detecting part 114 which extracts a component having the same frequency as the sine wave signal of a frequency f<SB>1</SB>out of electric signals outputted from a photoelectric converter 117 to detect an error signal based on the extracted component, a bias unit 511 which biases the error signal by a predetermined constant amount, and a wavelength control unit 115 which controls the current inputted into the semiconductor laser 113 according to the biased error signal, so that the error signal biased by the bias unit 411 approaches zero. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
