<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a cable capable of reducing and dispersing force applied to an actuator by energizing a terminal to the cable by using elasticity of a tip-side part of the terminal, of easily and surely connecting the cable thereto in spite of having a simple structure, of preventing deformation of the actuator, of increasing electrodes by increasing the width thereof, and of reducing the thickness and size thereof. <P>SOLUTION: This connector for a cable includes: a housing having an insertion opening for inserting the cable therein; the terminals mounted to the housing, and electrically connected to conductive wires of the cable; and the actuator mounted to the housing to be able to change its attitude between a first position allowing the cable to be inserted and extracted and a second position at which the conductive wires of the inserted cable are electrically connected to the terminals.
