PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingerprint matching device composing a system for performing entrance/exit management without making it necessary to issue any temporary card to a user who has forgotten to carry a card. SOLUTION: This fingerprint matching device is provided with a card reader device 1 with fingerprint matching for matching registered fingerprint data registered in a card with inspection fingerprint data fetched from the finger of a user for achieving personal identification; an input means 11 installed in the card reader device 1 with fingerprint matching for inputting ID number unique to a user; and a server 5 composed separately from the card reader device 1 with the fingerprint matching for preliminarily storing stored fingerprint data associated with the ID number of each user. When the ID number is input to the input means 11, the card reader device 1 with fingerprint matching notifies the server 5 of the ID number for downloading the stored fingerprint data associated with the ID number, and for matching the stored fingerprint data with the inspection fingerprint data for achieving personal identification.
