PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture absorbing package comprising a moisture absorbing sheet included in a layered outer packaging material for storing an object to be packaged, which is capable of arbitrarily defining a size of the moisture absorbing sheet to prevent the use of an unnecessary moisture absorbing sheet, does not degrade appearance, accommodates various kinds of objects to be packaged such as food susceptible to humidity, medical products, precision equipment and electronic components and protects the object against alteration or deterioration in quality by the moisture in a container. SOLUTION: The moisture absorbing package has the moisture absorbing sheet included in the layered outer packaging material having at least an outer base material and a sealant layer laminated for accommodating the object to be packaged. The moisture absorbing sheet is sealed by a longitudinal edge seal or a lateral edge seal of the package and included in the layered outer packaging material.
