PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve for a liquid container capable of regulating the flow of a liquid flowing out and inhibiting the liquid from dripping. SOLUTION: The valve 1 for the liquid container has a housing 17 into which the liquid flows from an inlet opening 22 provided on the side part and the liquid flows out from a vertical outlet pipe 24 provided on the bottom part, a seal part 27 which can seal the upper end part of the outlet pipe 24, a valve element 18 having a stem part 28 extending upward from the seal part 27 and projecting to the outside of the housing 17, and an energizing member 19 for energizing downward the valve element 18. A hanging-down part 29 extending in the outlet pipe 14 from the seal part 27 is provided on the valve element 18, and the hanging-down part 29 has its lower end at approximately the same height as the lower end of the outlet pipe 24 under a condition that the seal part 17 seals the upper end of the outlet pipe 24.
