PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the practicality of a suspension device configured including an electromagnetic shock absorber. SOLUTION: This suspension device 10 includes a coupling device 56 by which one portion being one of a spring upper portion 26 and a spring lower portion 24 is coupled to a unit on the side of the one portion, which is coupled to the one portion and one of a unit on the side of the spring upper portion and a unit on the side of the spring lower portion being the structure elements of the electromagnetic absorber 22. The coupling device has: a magnetic cylinder 60 coupled to one of the one portion and the unit on the side of the one portion; and a magnetic piston 62 coupled to the other of the one portion and the unit on the side of the one portion and also movable in the axis direction of the cylinder on the inner side of the cylinder. The piston is configured to be set afloat and supported inside of the cylinder by the magnetic force of the cylinder and piston, thereby the comparatively compact and simple suspension device is materialized.
